The Château Virant mill at the present location was inaugurated in 1996. Started in the 1950’s as a family agriculture venture it has never ceased growing in acreage and modernization of equipment. Its AOC Aix-en-Provence first cold press extra virgin olive oil has received the Award of Excellence from French Ministry of Agriculture in 2004 for being the winner of so many consecutive gold medals. Classed as the Best Olive Oil Producer in France. Produced from olives cultivated and manually harvested from the groves surrounding the mill.
