Red Is the New
Green!

I really do like juicing, but I’m sick of green in
all of its permutations, from gorgeous lime and mint greens to deep dark forest
green. I am particularly tired of the brown/green that happens when I put red
cabbage in with kale.
Then I had an epiphany – red cabbage is actually 4½ times as rich in
anti-oxidants when compared to all other varieties – I can make my juice
RED!
Further research showed that red cabbage is uniquely loaded with
anthocyanins, proven anti-inflamatories, which serve a dual purpose – relieving
chronic inflammation helps prevent cancer.
This week my juice combos have ranged from pastel pink to deep dark
burgundy. This magenta juice serves a dual purpose too; it’s super-nutritious
and absolutely gorgeous to look at.
